With over 30 years of experience, our firm is managed by a team of consultants and qualified key personnel. Since our establishment, Astech has been a major stakeholder in the construction and hazardous materials abatement industry for commercial, industrial, institutional, recreational, and residential buildings and structures, in both the private and public sectors.
Astech has the flexibility to provide our clients (engineers, architects, building owners, homeowners, land developers, restoration companies, contractors, etc.) with a comprehensive service as well as cost-effective solutions for the remediation or management of asbestos and lead-containing building materials, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), mercury, silica, and other hazardous building materials.
Astech is in good standing with the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia (WCB).

Insurance and WCB Coverage
With due consideration that all insurance policies in North America exclude for working with asbestos, Astech has as a key component to our comprehensive general liability insurance, a separately purchased coverage for asbestos pollution liability, which is necessary to properly indemnify our clients. Copies of such insurance can be provided upon request. We currently carry:
- Comprehensive General Liability Insurance of $5,000,000
- Asbestos Pollution Liability of $3,000,000
